Skoda Vision IN is powered by a 1.5-litre TSI engine delivering 150PS and 250Nm of peak torque. The motor is mated to a 7-speed DSG.
Skoda Vision IN features a double slat grille, with both the frame and the slats made of lead crystal. It gets LED illumination as well. The grille is flanked by LED headlights with LED DRLs and indicators. There are LED fog lights placed below the headlamp setup. The upper section of the front bumper incorporates a crystalline, mesh effect air inlet, while the lower section consists of an aluminium front spoiler. At the rear, you will find razor-sharp, L-shaped LED tail lights, with horizontal reflectors. A crystalline light strip is placed between the reflectors. There is an aluminium diffuser at the rear as well. Other exterior features of the mid-size SUV include 19-inch alloy wheels, aluminium roof rails and panoramic glass roof.
The new Skoda design language defines the interiors of the Vision IN. It is being claimed that the Skoda designers have taken inspiration from Kalamkari -- an Indian textile printing technique -- while designing the dashboard. There is a free-standing 12.3-inch infotainment system. The gear selector lever has been replaced by a small rocker switch. There is a flat-bottom three-spoke multifunction steering wheel, with buttons and knurl wheels.
There is the use of rhubarb leather and oak leather inside the cabin of Skoda Vision IN. The seat covers are made of Pinatex, a leather alternative made from waste pineapple leaves. While the roof lining is made of recycled plastic fibres, the decorative strips have been made with genuine crystal.
Skoda will be showcasing the Vision IN concept at the upcoming Auto Expo 2020. Apart from the mid-size SUV, Skoda Karoq, the updated Skoda Superb, the Monte Carlo and Matte Concept of the Rapid 1.0-litre TSI, Skoda Kodiaq and Skoda Octavia RS 245 will also be on display.
